The Speedmaster Reduced model was launched to be an affordable alternative to the big brother, the Omega Speedmaster. Furthermore, it was offered with an automatic movement and with a smaller 39mm case. It’s now the perfect choice for the Speedmaster lovers, expecially for those who have a smaller wrist. Adding an element of interest, the automatic feature will be more pratical on a daily wear.

Strong design reminds of the Speedmaster, starting from the helix lugs that give the watch a masculine appeal. Thanks to the modular nature of the movement, the acute eye notices the different positioning of the crown in respect of the chronograph pushers. This makes the watch a little bit thicker, nonetheless smootly sitting on the wrist. Another detail given by the Omega modular caliber is seen on the dial: the subdials are wider now, visually amplified by the smaller dial size that makes them even more closer to the baton indexes. The present chronograph houses the Omega 1140 automatic caliber. It is based on the ETA 2890-2 with a chronograph Dubois-Depraz module positioned on it.

Condition
Offered in almost pristine condition, the present vintage Omega Speedmaster Reduced was rarely weared. The stainless steel case remains in excellent condition with minor scratches, never polished. Omega crown can be easily pulled out to set the time. In the same way, pushers can be activated to Start, Stop and Reset the chronograph function. The plexiglass is signed Omega in the center and shows minor scuffs. The white dial and the hands are preserved in great condition, without any visible defect.
