TAG Heuer is renowned as a producer of chronographs and diving watches, but the maison has also made a number of aviation watches, such as the Bundeswehr of the 1970s and this wristwatch - the Pilot.
Released in 1983, this reference 130.006 design refers to the Breitling Navitimer, and with its complex multi-layer inner and outer-bezels - statement courtesy of Tag Heuer - took the place of the 1970s Heuer Calculator.
Two years later in 1985 TAG Group acquired Heuer and the present example is a rare transitional one, featuring Heuer signed crown.
Having aged to a gorgeus shade of orange, this Tag Heuer pilot chronograph for sale, with its large 42mm case and the original stainless steel bracelet, is a true find for vintage chronograph connoisseurs and a great addition to our Chronograph selection.
