1980s Cartier Santos Ref. 2961 on Godron Bracelet

Few designs are as relevant today as they were 100 years ago and Cartier Santos is one crystal clear example. In 1904 the first Santos wristwatch prototype designed by Louis Cartier was gifted for his friend Alberto Santos-Dumont, a well-known brazilian aviator. Seven years later the Cartier Santos was released to the public and it was an instant success.

With a timeless design the beautiful Carree medium-sized 29mm diameter case sits comfortably on all wrists. The wristwatch comes with a rare Godron satin-finished stainless steel bracelet with yellow gold links, so called because it was usually paired with the Godron Santos, and it was offered with the Cartier Santos Carree in limited edition.

The present example Cartier Ref. 2961 in yellow gold and steel featuring a white dial with black Roman numerals goes perfectly for an every day use as well as special events. This pre-owned Cartier Santos Automatic is offered in great condition, certainly a gem in our Dress Watch Selection.
