The watch's history traces back to Zenith's legacy of precision and durability, dating back to Georges Favre Jacot's pioneering spirit in 1865. The Defy line, introduced in 1967, marked a milestone in sports watch design, with its distinctive octagonal case and superior shock resistance.

The Plongeur Defy series, known for its robustness and innovation, was Zenith's response to the demands of the diving community. This A3648 extremely rare model, also referred to as the Sub-Sea, features an orange dial and bezel, offering exceptional legibility and a striking aesthetic.

Crafted from durable stainless steel, the Zenith Plongeur Defy A3648 features its iconic octagonal case, a hallmark of the Defy line. This distinctive design not only adds character but also ensures robustness, making it an ideal companion for adventurous divers. Positioned at 4 o'clock, the Zenith crown offers improved protection, minimizing the risk of damage during underwater exploration. The timepiece boasts an impressive water resistance of 600 meters, further reinforced by a 3mm hardened mineral crystal. This combination of features not only elevated its durability but also amplified its functionality, making it a reliable choice for deep-sea adventures.

Featuring a vibrant orange dial, this Zenith Sub-Sea diver stands out with its bold and unconventional color choice, a rarity for its time. This striking hue not only adds a unique flair but also reflects its sporty essence, making it a coveted collector's item. Adding to its allure is the bakelite bezel, a testament to exquisite craftsmanship and timeless refinement.

Presented in good overall condition, considering its utilitarian nature, the watch exhibits wear marks consistent with its age and usage. Last but not least, this Zenith Plongeur Defy comes paired with a Tropic strap, making it an ideal companion for any underwater expedition.
