1996 Omega Speedmaster Day-Date Ref. 3820.53.26

Introduced in 1996, the Omega Speedmaster Day-Date Ref. 3820.53 is one of the most well-known Speedmaster Omega variations. In the same year a young F1 driver Michael Schumacher signed for Scuderia Ferrari and sponsored the present chronograph, and that’s why this reference is also being referred as the Speedmaster MK40 Schumacher.

The case measures 39mm – fitting perfectly the modern wrists – and the grey dial displays the chronograph and triple date complication and a 24 hours AM/PM display but still remains nicely readable with a quick glance. The dark shades on the front of the watch perfectly combine the white, yellow, blue and red details on the dial.

This Mark 40 example is preserved in overall excellent condition and it’s definitely a splendid asset for any collectors, as it has recently become highly sought after Hodinkee 10th Anniversary Limited Edition. Definively a valuable timepiece in our Omega Watches Selection.
