1941 IWC Dress Watch in Steel With Caliber 61

IWC has gained an international reputation based on a passion for innovative solutions and technical ingenuity. In 1938 the maison manufactured their first wristwatch moviment with a sweep seconds, the caliber 61. This movement was only built in a relative small number and was quickly replaced by the 60 caliber and soon by the 89 caliber.

The dial has aged with grace to a very light brown color that provides a perfect match as background for the golden leaf hands and arabic numeral indexes. The case is well preserved, the bezel and lugs are well defined and crisp.

The present timepiece is a wonderful example of IWC’s attractive vintage watches which would definitively have its place in a vintage watch collection.
