To commemorate the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montréal, the first Canadian city to host the Olympic Games, Girard-Perregaux manufactured the 3rd generation of the Olimpico series.
In 1976, Montréal became the first Canadian city to host the Olympic Games. Montréal 1976 has been noted for some major moments in history, touching on major global topics of the time and spawning personalities who still dominate the airwaves today.
The present wristwatch isn't the classic Olimpico chronograph we've seen the 2 Olympic Games before, starting from the case. Its chunky, 1970s case shape makes it immediately recognizable and unique. With "panda" dial configuration - white with 3 black registers - and tachymeter scale the ref. 9238 FA is a fine looking timepiece.
The 42mm case diameter give the opportunity to be easily worn by modern wrists. You can use two pump pushers to activate its Caliber 27-0, so beautiful that matches the handsomness of the dial.
